Welcome
internet friends!

I'm Jayce, a UX designer based in the Bay Area. Most recently, I’ve been shaping AI-powered tools at SAP, blending LLMs with databases to create and automate hyper-personalized customer experiences.

My story so far

I started my design career in the world of architecture, learning to think structurally and strategically about how people move through spaces. Over the past decade, I’ve carried that mindset into digital design—thinking now about how users navigate intricate ecosystems of software and services, how machine intelligence can boost productivity, and how thoughtful design brings clarity to complexity.

From scrappy startups to tech giants, I’ve solved knotty problems across diverse industries. I love diving deep into research, embracing uncertainty, and collaborating across disciplines to deliver user experiences that are as intuitive as they are intelligent. At the core, I’m guided by a simple principle: design is a force for making technology both approachable and transformative.

Ultimately, I’m here to help shape the future—integrating AI, data, and design to build software that truly meets people where they are, and takes them where they want to go.

design process

This is how I do it

Good product design is not just about meeting the expectations of usability, utility or aesthetics. I strive to deliver more than what's expected—an experience where users feel like their needs matter every step along the way while using the product. At the end of the day, what good is a product if it doesn't do what users need?

01
Empathy is the key

I ask all sorts of questions to make decisions about how things will play out from a user perspective before jumping into designing.

02
Less is better

By eliminating unnecessary features or UI elements, I strive to make the product more useful, intuitive and enjoyable for users.

03
Communication

Iteration is inevitable but it doesn't have to be a struggle when we both are willing to pivot and talk it through.

04
Study the world

In addition to gaining knowledge from design books, I also aspire to learn from life itself to make me become a better a better designer.

Despite the challenges this year has presented, many things still brought joy to my life. Gaming has kept me entertained and connected with distant friends. TV shows, films, and recently, live streamers have provided laughter, emotional journeys, and rekindled my love for storytelling. Photography has empowered me to capture special moments in time.
